MEDU x The Wedding Gala Giveaway

1. About the giveaway

MEDU, in collaboration with The Wedding Gala 2026, is running a promotional giveaway campaign featuring two prizes: a R8 500 MEDU Shopping Experience (Grand Prize for The Wedding Gala guests only) and a R2 500 MEDU Shopping Voucher (Public Draw).

2. How to enter

Grand Prize Draw — R8 500 Shopping Experience

Guests who purchase Gold or Platinum Tickets for The Wedding Gala 2026 will automatically receive one (1) free entry into the Grand Prize Draw.

Guests with General Access or Silver tickets do not receive an automatic entry into the Grand Prize Draw. They may, however, purchase paid raffle entries at R200 per entry for a chance to win the R8 500 Grand Prize.

Public Draw — R2 500 Voucher

Not attending the event? You may still enter the Public Draw for a chance to win a R2 500 MEDU Shopping Voucher. Entry fee: R200 per entry. Open to the public nationwide.

3. Entry period

Entries close on 29 May 2026 at 12:00 PM (SAST). Entries received after the closing date and time will not be accepted.

MEDU accepts no responsibility for late or failed entries resulting from technical issues, internet connectivity problems, or any delay on the part of the participant.

4. Who can enter

Participants must be 18 years or older. Participants may purchase multiple additional entries. Employees, directors, organisers, and immediate family members of MEDU and The Wedding Gala are not eligible to enter.

5. The draw

Winners for the Grand Prize will be selected through a random draw process at The Wedding Gala event. The Public Draw Prize draw may take place during or in conjunction with The Wedding Gala Event. Winners for the public draw do not need to be present at the event to win. MEDU reserves the right to verify all entries and participant details.

The Public Draw date and event details will be communicated via MEDU's official social media channels and/or via email to ticket holders.

6. Winner notification

Winners will be contacted using the cellphone number and/or email address provided during entry or ticket purchase within 48 hours of the draw. If a winner cannot be contacted within 7 calendar days, MEDU reserves the right to redraw the prize.

Prize collection arrangements will be communicated directly to the winner. MEDU does not accept responsibility for any costs incurred by the winner in collecting the prize.

7. Prize conditions

Prizes are non-transferable and may not be exchanged for cash. Prize items remain subject to product and size availability. MEDU reserves the right to substitute prizes with alternatives of equal or greater value where necessary.

8. Refunds

Raffle entry purchases are non-refundable. Wedding Gala ticket refunds remain subject to The Wedding Gala Event's ticketing policies.

In the unlikely event that the giveaway is cancelled by MEDU prior to the draw, paid entry holders will be notified and a full refund will be issued within 14 (fourteen) business days.

No refund will be issued if the event is postponed — the draw will be rescheduled to a new date and all entries will remain valid.

9. Limitation of liability

MEDU shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, or disappointment suffered by any entrant as a result of entering the giveaway or accepting a prize.

MEDU shall not be liable for any technical failures, errors, or omissions in connection with the giveaway or any third-party platforms used to process entries or payments.

10. Privacy & promotion

By entering, you consent to MEDU contacting you regarding the giveaway, and winners agree that their name, image, and/or social media content may be used for promotional purposes related to the campaign. MEDU will process personal information in accordance with applicable South African privacy laws.

MEDU will not sell or share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except where required by law.

11. General

MEDU reserves the right to amend, suspend, or cancel the giveaway if required due to circumstances beyond its control. The judges' and organisers' decisions are final.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.

If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
